Fly Fishing

During your stay on Tetiaroa and at the Brando, Fly Odyssey guide Teihotu Brando will show you his home and the incredible flats available to target trophy bonefish, giant trevally and triggerfish on a catch and release basis, with complete exclusivity.

Anglers will have shots each day at very large bonefish feeding in shallow water, with a stunning backdrop of palm trees, iridescent blue water, and white sand beaches. Averaging 8 pounds in weight, clients have also successfully caught and tagged 12 + pound bonefish, as well as Giant trevally well over a meter in length.

All fly fishing is done on foot, while the Fly Odyssey skiff is used to transport anglers around the atoll. In 2019 a group of fly anglers joined Fly Odyssey to film a fly fishing film which premiered in the fly fishing film tour in 2021.

TRAVEL PLAN

Flights are available daily leaving LAX (Delta) or SFO (United) with direct access to the Tahiti International airport (PPT). From there you will be escorted to the private air Tetiaroa lounge before boarding your short 20 minute flight to Tetiaroa.

LODGING

The Brando offers the privacy of a private island retreat while only being 20 minutes away from the Tahiti International airport. This small scale resort (only 35 villas), offers guests the ultimate luxury getaway. There are one, two and three bedroom villas as well as the Teremoana Residence, a 6,000 square foot zero carbon footprint home with multiple dining and entertainment areas. All stays at the Brando include luxurious accommodation, all meals in all dining venues, most beverages (bottled water, soft drinks, beer, select wines, champagne and spirits), 24 hour dining in the privacy of your villa, one excursion per person per day from a select list prepared by the concierge, one spa treatment per villa per day, laundry service, internet access, one bicycle per guest, access to an outrigger canoe, kayak, paddle board and snorkeling equipment.
